Each spring we find ourselves thinking about the families of cocktails, and one family in particular: the Daisy! Composed in simple parts of spirit, citrus, cordial, and sugar, this formula has been indisputably impactful on both the classic and modern cocktail canon, and from it we have derived some of the most iconic and long lasting cocktails to ever be served: the Sidecar, the Margarita, and the Hemingway Daiquiri, just to name a few. As the Cocktail Renaissance brought traditional versions of this drink back into the limelight, modern bartenders seized upon it and made it their own. Join us as we look into the origins of this family, the progression over the last century, and try a modern classic as we look at where the Daisy is going!
