The exceptionare new wine ventures in sub-AVAs like Lodi and Clarksburg, home tojammy zinfandels, surprisingly distinguished chenin blancs and more.From a historic property in Lodi, the Oak Farm Vineyards was founded in 1864 and is one of the oldest remaining family estates in the Central Valley. Their 2016 Tievoli is a blend of head trained, old vine Zinfandel, Barbera and Petite Sirah hand harvested and fermented in tank, then aged in a combination of French and American oak for approximately 10 months. Its brambly fruit and autumnal spice are irresistibly charming and a tasty companion to comforting stews.
