Revel Wine Class: Australia with Legend Imports 4/28

Legend Australian Wine Imports was founded by Master Sommelier wine power couple Jane Lopes and Jonathan Ross. Together they have over forty years in the wine business with stints in some of the best restaurants (Eleven Madison Park anyone?) in many of the food capitals of the world, including San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and Melbourne. The company was founded in July of 2020 (of all times!) after they had spent three years in fine dining in Melbourne—they knew precisely what Australian wine offered and what the U.S. market was missing. Since then, they've grown to represent over 30 producers in more than seven states. They've even gone on to write the book on the subject. But, you don't have to take this marketing spiel as the last word—we featured one of their Pinot noirs in our international Pinot noir class and it was one of the runaway hits!

Join us Monday, April 28th, from 5pm - 6:30pm as we explore Australia through the Legend Imports lens. The focus will be on Australia's potential for cool climate winemaking and will feature sparkling wine from Tasmania and still wines from Victoria, especially Mornington Peninsula and the Yarra Valley. The wines will be presented by Legend founder Jane Lopes, MS. She spent most of her career selling and drinking European wine, until one day she realized that Aussie wine had replaced all of her go-to sips. Chef Madeline will be keeping us locked in as we explore with three finely tuned Aussie inspired bites.
