Storm Point Red Blend Swartland 2020

Australian Mick Craven, of Craven Wines fame, scoped out the Western Cape of South Africa for promising wine-growing sites and produced his first vintage in 2017. A reference to the storied tumult of the waters around the Southern reach of Africa, Storm Point red is crafted to show the best of the Swartland terroir with the assemblage of traditional Mediterranean varieties. This newly released 2020 is a blend of Cinsault, Syrah, and Carignan vinified in tank then aged10 months in neutral French barrique and stainless steel. It is fresh and juicy, best served with a slight chill.
