While Kermit Lynch is almost a household name, as far as wine importers go anyway, Neal Rosenthal has something to say about that. He, too, is one of the OG importers who has been bringing traditionally made European wines to the U.S. since 1980, some of which have become the most sought after wines we receive. Perhaps best known for his Burgundy portfolio, the first wines Neal's fledgling company imported were actually those of Luigi Ferrando, from Carema in the hinterlands of Italy's Piedmont—an appellation of all but 16 hectares. These were Nebbiolos with an alpine inflection, but a track record of being extremely age worthy. It takes guts, vision, and confidence to stake your company's reputation on wines so recherché!

With this as our lead, join us Monday, March 31st, from 5pm - 6:30pm as we explore Piedmont through the Rosenthal lens. We will tour appellations both classic and lesser known, from Roero to Barolo and from Dogliani to Canavese and Lessona. The wines will be presented by Rosenthal vet Joseph Frederick. He has been there, seen that first hand with these producers. Chef Madeline will be joyously tapping her Italian training with three finely tuned bites to keep us locked in as we explore.
